The GAAC is the first Acquisition Committee created in France. The museum’s curatorial team and committee members review and vote on artists & works to join the collections.

Peggy Guggenheim Collection

As a patron and lover of the arts, Carola has always admired the Peggy Guggenheim Collection’s iconoclastic history. Jain joined the Board of Advisors in 2017, contributing her expertise in philanthropy, branding, and marketing to the group, and helping to position the collection internationally and draw broader support.

Harvard Graduate School of Design Dean’s Leadership Council

The Dean’s Leadership Council is charged with providing guidance to the Dean and the School on the continued evolution and excellence of the GSD. The Council plays an active role in advancing the visibility and importance of the GSD at the University, among the School’s many design fields, and in the world at large.

The Jain Family Institute

The Jain Family Institute is an applied research organization in the social sciences, working to bring research and policy from conception in theory to implementation in society.

City Harvest

City Harvest is a food rescue organization based in New York City that is near and dear to Carola’s heart. As co-chair of the organization’s largest annual fundraising event, she has been successful in raising millions of dollars annually in one evening a year. Carola’s children also believe in the organization and enjoy devoting their time to philanthropic acts to help City Harvest feed New Yorkers in need.

Student Sponsor Partners

For the past 12 years, Jain has served as a mentor for several students through the Student Sponsor Partners program. She guided them through their high school experiences in every facet of their lives, from schooling, to in person and virtual mentoring, and more personal aspects of day to day life. To date, two of her mentees have begun their post-collegiate careers, one is still in college and she’s currently mentoring a fourth student through high school. Jain deeply values the time she and her family spend with each student and is gratified by their growth throughout their schooling and the program.

The Watermill Center, New York

Jain served as the co-Chair of the board of the Watermill Center from 2013 to 2017. The center is a supportive environment for emerging artists to explore new ideas and foster their career development. Although she is no longer a board member, she remains active with the center.
